A lot of students have trouble paying attention in class. This is a waste of time since they would be just sitting at their desk for almost 7 hours everyday without learning anything. So I think to make things interesting for each of the students, the teacher should have outline of materials needed to be learned, recorded and videotaped lecture. And each student should learn it their own way however they want to learn it. The people who have visual/spatial intelligence can look at a lot of pictures and videos and images to learn. The people who have kinesthetic intelligence can run or take a walk as they listen to a recorded lecture. I think changing the activities in this way would help people learn most efficiently. People can work in groups or in pairs which would help grow interpersonal intelligence. And at the end of the class, a short quiz should be given in order to see if the students had done their tasks and learned the materials for the day.
Classroom assignments.
Homework or other written work should be more like short essay questions or free-response questions. This could improve people's existential intelligence and verbal skills as well. Homework that have multiple choice or fill in the blank problems only test recognition skills and do not help much to improve one's intelligence.
Graduation requirements
The graduation requirements are generally limited to academic subjects. I think instead of focusing just on academics, educators need to encourage students to also take all of music, phys ed, academic, art, and some form of classes that require intense verbal skills such as debate or speech classes.
So I Think in order to graduate, a student needs to take at least one kind of music class such as orchestra or choir in order to improve their musical intelligence. Some kind of gym classes should also be graduation requirement so for kinesthetic intelligence. Debate and speech classes help with verbal intelligence and interpersonal intellignece. Requiring variety of subjects for graduation make kids develop multiple intelligences.
